Tour Details

The Central Mongolian part the Orkhon Valley, west of Ulaanbaatar, along the Orkhon River in the Övörkhangai and Arkhangai Provinces, was the center of the Mongol Empire, the center of the Uighur Empire, and the birthplace of Mongolian Buddhism. Today, the cultural heritage of the valley constitutes a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 1Meet in Ulaanbaatar and visiting Erdenezuu Monastery

Assemble on our meeting point in Ulaanbaatar, and driving to Kharkorin by our jeep or van to visit Erdenezuu Monastery. The earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Built in 1585 with Chinese-style roof covered with greTen tiles. If you’re going to the outside, there’s a monastery sits a stone phallus which means restrain the sexual impulses of the monks and ensure their good behavior.

Day 2Tuvkhun Temple and Orkhon Waterfall

After breakfast you will go directly to see Tuvkhun temple , one of Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monasteries, established in 1648 by 14 years old kid, Zanabazar. A gifted sculptor, painter and musician. He used this monastery as personal retreat for almost 30 years. This is the place also known as , Happy secluded place, where he developed the soyombo script. Afterwards we visit Orkhon waterfall, known as Ulaan Tsutgalan, located in the one of UNESCO Heritage Site, Orkhon Valley. It has 10 meters wide and 20 meters high.

Day 3Horse Riding on 8 lakes

Start your day by riding the horse on 8 lakes, also known as Khuisyn Naiman Nuur , a serene place surrounded by Mongolian high mountains and vast forest.

Day 4-6 Horse Riding on 8 lakes

We bring you more scope to feel the wilderness of Mongolian nature by riding the horses on 8 lakes, it was formed by the volcanic eruptions, elevated 2400 meters above sea level and 11.500 hectares protected since 1992 as National Park. It’s the habitat for 50 species of birds. The only way to unwind your trip, by enjoying the scenic waterfall in the afternoon.

Day 7Driving to Mini Gobi, Riding The Camel and Hiking

Riding the camel and hiking on the wilderness Elsen Tasarkhai or semi Gobi, yellow pale sand dunes with 80 km long and 5 km wide, and surrounded by the hills.

Day 8Back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, you will be going back to Ulaanbaatar.
